City Parks
Little Creek Park

Little Creek Park is the only city park, Little Creek Park, is located on Bus. Hwy. 37, two blocks north of the plaza in downtown Mount Vernon.  The city completed a $100,000 improvement project at the park in 2006 with a 50/50 Texas Parks and Wildlife Grant.
The park contains a concrete walking / jogging path, two age appropriate play areas with climbing equipment, a softball park, soccer area, fenced tennis court, a volleyball court, and four-goal basketball courts.
A 24’ x 50’ covered pavilion with  concrete floor, located off Jackson Street, is available for group and family gatherings.
